The Temple of Heart
The Temple of Heart is independent of all religions, sects, social affiliations, nationalities. Babba Mary accepts all charitable people, she welcomes them in her house. Here they can find their peace of mind, they can find a solution for the difficulties coming up in everyday life. Our goals are the promotion, supporting of the children’s the tradition keeper activities, education, teaching about the national cultural values, promoting their mental development.
The design is the amazing work of Zsuzsanna Kozma, master of science in architecture. She writes about the temple like this:
The basic configuration of the building was becoming more and more evident for me as a result of our conversations with Ildikó and of the impulses received during the visit of the design site. The Temple of Heart is built on a female circle: it is a sanctuary, the uterus of Mother Earth transmitting the force of nature the experience of where acceptance, admission, conceiving, remission, embrace, love, birth appears in the shaping of the building. The shapes of the building are inspired by these stations of life. The building can be divided into three main structural sections. These three sections symbolize the main phases of life: arrival, presence and leaving. Even the shapes of these three phases refer to the expansion, narrowing of the time lived. We arrive to the foot of the stretching, dumpy tower of the temple through a promenade which, as a channel, leads us to the interior square of the temple. With its conical shape, the tower marks the start, the spark from where the whole process has started. It marks the way for us on which we depart to the line of our life. It serves as a gate which symbolizes the initiation, the birth. The central place of the temple, the temple square which concentrates to a privileged time of the timeline of life, to the present. This highlighted point is marked by the dome of light which joins the sky with the Earth. This is the heavenly ladder, the center, the core of the House. The centered sites are characterized by the origin, while the arc is characterized by the set of points that are at an equal distance measured from the origin. The points on the arc of the circle are characterized by the equality, as the members of the family and the community are also characterized by the equality. The origin marks also the direction of attention: the eyes and the heart turn from the arc of circle towards the origin. In this attention, we suddenly go up on the heavenly ladder. The section closing the building is the building mass with domed roof structure, constructed around the origin, drawn on the arc of the temple square. In this section of the building, there are the service rooms that are necessary for the operation. Building constructions The intention of the community is to create a building that can be constructed with the minimum of industrially produced building materials, and its maintenance is also economical. Nowadays, we cannot only say about the brick that it is a building material of full value, there are several alternative solutions with which by replacing the brick and the hungarocell insulation, you can a build a modern, lasting house. The alternative solutions are more and more important as the increased ecological footprint, the changing economic opportunities, and the need for a responsible care about our future have an imperative force. Due to these aspects, we have chosen the method of construction of a building with wooden and brick structure, with masonry filled with bales of straw. From the point of view of the heat technology, humidity and physiology, with this wall structure, an excellent house can be built with wooden supporting structure. In the construction of the structures, it is a basic aspect that we shall create a building that can be built with an average experience in construction and equipment. Accordingly, the chosen structures are of conventional nature.
